The Scheyerface Phenomena

One of the funniest parts of regularly visiting a sports message board is knowing those inside jokes. The Maryland Scout Board is by far the funniest on the net. These boards are filled with irreverent nuts who love to pick fun on everyone, especially Dukies.

The Scheyerface is Born

One brillant poster by the name of TerpBE cooked up an idea to provide the MD students with pictures of Duke player John Scheyer at last years MD/Duke game. You see Scheyer just happens to make very interesting faces when he's playing basketball. Sample here (he's on the left):



Well, the MD guys have taken just about everything you can imagine from Star Wars to cartoons and attached Scheyer's face to it. What ensues is pictures of such hilarity for the anti-Duke crowd!!!

On their Own Court

Well, this interpid Terp traveled to Hawaii and lo and behold, it was during the Maui Invitiational basketball tournament in which Duke was playing. TerpBE proceeded to plague the Dukies in their bathrooms, conference rooms, ourdoor areas - all with Scheyerface pictures.



Imagine these taped all over the hotel!! That's what he did. Some samples of his work.





Finally, according to TerpBE, the coup would be to get a picture doing the Scheyerface with Scheyer himself. And he did it!!
